THE CHAMBER

West Kirby Chamber is made up of like minded local traders, businesses, attractions and most of all people passionate about West Kirby and what we have to offer!

We meet on a regular basis and discuss current issues, topics and triumphs.  We share ideas for drumming up business and to attract people to come along and sample West Kirby life.

If you'd like to join in then a warm welcome awaits you, get in touch and we'll give you the details of our next meeting.

A THRIVING COMMUNITY

Our meetings are normally held once a month at The Wro on Grange Road, or at the newly re-branded Lattetude on Dee Lane.  We go through the minutes of our last meeting, pick up on any action points, update the members on where we are up to and then we work our way through the agenda for the current meeting.

With a strong emphasis on community, events and fundraisers being held in and around West Kirby are opened out to the floor to see how other local supporters can help out.  We have a strong link with the Friends of Coronation Gardens and Ashton Park in long time members Dave Wade and Heather Chapman.

Sally Boyd does a lot of work with the extended schools of Wirral so we can always be assured of support from them and vice versa.  Amongst the members we also have long standing co founder Myles Parry who is a prolific figure in West Kirby and plays a big part in the sailing club and works tirelessly to make the Wilson Trophy the success that it is today.

DID YOU KNOW...

200 Olympic-class sailors compete annually on West Kirby's Marine Lake in one of the Worlds favourite events for three days in May.

Five thousand spectators and thousands on the web follow 300 short, sharp frenzied races in three-boat teams jostling on an area of a football field to earn the coveted title: "Wilson Trophy Champion".
